On Monday the 19th of October, Scientist Dee came into Mrs. Stone’s grade 5 class to teach us about energy.

The day my classmates and I heard that the Scientists in the School program was coming we were filled with joy! They were not only excited to have an opportunity to learning new things we also were excited about learning in a fun way!

We loved that Scientist Dee had us test the power of different light sources. The most efficient light bulb is the LED because it conserves the most energy. She also gave us all solar panels and we had to determine whether the solar panels were an efficient source of electricity. It turns out that sometimes they weren’t because if it was to be a cloudy day or in the winter you wouldn’t get electricity.

We loved all of the experiments! We hope to see Scientist Dee come into our school again!
