Here at Alexandra Public School, we aim to work collaboratively with parent and community volunteers to provide balanced academic programs as well as well-rounded extra curricular programs. Alexandra Public School is focused on Character Education for both staff and students.We proudly wear our Royal colours of scarlet and gold in our small based community school and sing our own school song.

Academically, we excel at standardized testing in the form of EQAO, ranking well above the board and the provincial results. We have focused on Literacy and Numeracy as academic goals and support that with large blocks of uninterrupted time. As well, a large amount our parent fund raising money is spent on the Arts.

 We have a very active School Advisory Council. Councils past and present are responsible for the construction of the gymnasium in 2005, raising large sums of community money to support this project. In 2005, our new gymnasium was completed. This was a community project with the Historical Society.

 We have an open-door policy for parents and guardians, encouraging regular communication between parents and staff all year long. Many of our parents coach teams, volunteer in classrooms and support extra curricular activities. In addition, they raise money for field trips, sport team uniforms, equipment for the new gymnasium and the arts.
